Research on the Employment Competitiveness of Overseas Returnees and the Construction of an Evaluation System

The study involved conducting both quantitative and qualitative analyses on the employment competitiveness of 186 overseas returnees and then developed an evaluation system for assessing their employment competitiveness. The study also compared the disparities between self-evaluation and social expectations among the returnees. Based on the findings, several countermeasures were proposed. At the individual level, emphasis should be placed on fostering professional and foreign language skills, early career planning, and establishing clear employment evaluation criteria. At the government and social levels, it is recommended to establish a database and strengthen the formulation and implementation of employment policies for these students.
