The Effect of Patient Capital Investment by Listed Firms on Firm Performance

Abstract

Nowadays, patient capital investment with long-term and stable structure has gradually become the mainstream of the market. The reasons for this trend have great research value. However, the academic research on patient capital mostly focuses on innovation, ESG performance and other fields, and there is a gap in the research on corporate profitability. Therefore, this paper takes the impact of patient capital on enterprise performance as the theme, first collects the financial data of listed companies, and then uses regression analysis to focusing on the different effects of patient capital on Enterprise Performance. Finally, the results show that the increase of patient capital investment can improve enterprise performance, and stable equity has a greater impact on the return on assets, while the impact of relational claims on enterprise performance is not obvious. This conclusion fills the gap in the study of patient capital and profitability, and explains the impact of patient capital on corporate performance.
