The impact of motivation on the academic performance of Chinese college students is a topic of considerable research interest. This study employed a questionnaire survey to gather data and employed various statistical analysis techniques for data processing and interpretation. The study’s results unequivocally reveal that motivation exerts a significant influence on the academic achievements of Chinese college students. This impact encompasses a wide range of aspects, such as bolstering learning efficiency, establishing clear educational objectives, sustaining perseverance in learning, increasing engagement in the learning process, fostering a curiosity to explore knowledge, refining study habits, and augmenting overall learning capabilities. Consequently, it is imperative for educators to be mindful of students’ motivation levels, as they play a pivotal role in igniting their enthusiasm for learning. Educators should also provide appropriate support and encourage the cultivation of independent thinking and ambition. These research findings hold substantial implications for enhancing the academic performance of Chinese college students.
