The impact of motivation on the academic performance of Chinese college students is a topic of considerable research interest. This study employed a questionnaire survey to gather data and employed various statistical analysis techniques for data processing and interpretation. The study’s results unequivocally reveal that motivation exerts a significant influence on the academic achievements of Chinese college students. This impact encompasses a wide range of aspects, such as bolstering learning efficiency, establishing clear educational objectives, sustaining perseverance in learning, increasing engagement in the learning process, fostering a curiosity to explore knowledge, refining study habits, and augmenting overall learning capabilities. Consequently, it is imperative for educators to be mindful of students’ motivation levels, as they play a pivotal role in igniting their enthusiasm for learning. Educators should also provide appropriate support and encourage the cultivation of independent thinking and ambition.
