Abstract
With the prevalence of artificial intelligence, Generative Artificial Intelligence (GenAI) tools are playing an increasingly important role in higher education. This quantitative study uses a questionnaire survey to explore the relationship between college students’ intensity of using Gen AI tools and their autonomous learning ability. This study used Zude Zhu’s College Students’ Autonomous Learning Ability Test Scale and the author’s self- compiled College Students’ Generative AI Tool Usage Intensity Scale. A total of 120 college students with an equal number of male and female students were selected through stratified sampling. According to data analysis, the final result is that the more intensively college students use Gen AI tools, the higher their autonomous learning ability.
