Abstract
By analyzing previous findings in the past decade, virtual reality would impact decision making by promoting altruistic moral reasonings and utilitarian decisions, reducing incentive factors to foster holistic evaluation, and enhancing emotional-regulatory factors that contribute to willingness to donate. These advantages of virtual reality in morality can be implemented in moral pedagogy in primary schools, transforming ethics education into an actively reflective process. However, current research lacks rigorous comparative analysis between Virtual Reality (VR) based and text-based in ethics training. Future research should assess the necessity of VR implementation in moral education, determine the extent of VR’s impact on virtue awareness and ethical decision-making outcomes, and provide empirical evidence to guide educators and policymakers in adopting immersive technologies for ethics instruction.
