On the basis of the uses of the concept of “containment” by the various participants in the conference, as well as the experience of certain “matters of containment” during the Covid-19 pandemic (especially prophylactic masks), the author pictures a broad perspective on the potential, intrinsically interdisciplinary, field of research that could be articulated around this idea.
