Based on the balanced panel data of 13 Jiangsu prefecture-level cities from 2011 to 2020, this study utilizes the overall effect model and intermediary effect model to explore the impact of digital inclusive finance on innovation efficiency of agricultural science and technology. It is found that the digital inclusive finance has a positive and direct impact on the innovation efficiency of agricultural science and technology in Jiangsu. By further inspection, the marketization level has a masking effect between digital inclusive finance and innovation efficiency of agricultural science and technology, and urbanization level plays a part intermediary role between them. Concerning the positive effect of digital inclusive finance on agricultural science and technology innovation efficiency, central region, southern region and north region rank first, second and third respectively in Jiangsu province. Finally, the forecast model shows that in Central, Northern and Southern Jiangsu, the improvement of innovation efficiency of agricultural science and technology will benefit from the driving power of digital inclusive finance except Nantong.
