This study selects 139 sets of data of the daily closing price of BYD for five months before and two months after the release of relevant industrial policies, i.e., from November 26, 2021, to June 26, 2022, as samples, and uses the autoregressive integrated moving average model (the ARIMA model) to make retrospective forecasts. Through analyzing the difference between predicted values and actual values, it is concluded that industrial policies have a positive impact on China’s new energy vehicle industry in the short term. As time goes on, this impact will weaken but will not disappear immediately.
