Research on the emotional issues caused by upward social comparison, combined with previous research, proposes a cognitive reappraisal strategy in emotion regulation strategies to address this negative emotion, and uses interviews and questionnaire surveys to examine the effectiveness of this strategy. The results show that cognitive reappraisal strategies have a significant improvement effect on the negative emotions caused by upward social comparison. During the research process, it was also found that educational status has an impact on the understanding and use of cognitive reappraisal strategies, and higher educated individuals are more able to fully utilize cognitive reappraisal strategies.
