Analysis of Character Education in Gurindam Dua Belas by Raja Ali Haji from the Perspective of TARGHIB WA TARHIB (Exploring the QU’RANI’s Method in Malay Literature)

Gurindam dua belas is the ancient poem originated from manuscript of the Malay writer Raja Ali Haji, who has enrichment of life guidance and Malay teaching methods instilled on Islamic law. The purpose of this research is finding the proselytizing methods that are used by Holy Al-Quran. This research utilizes descriptive method by venturing study literature or documentary study. The data collection is through documentation, using the secondary data resources. The findings of this study reveal that Raja Ali Haji in his Gurindam employs Qur’ani methods. There are 33 Targhib and 47 Tarhib methods within the 80 verses of the gurindam which is composed from 12 chapters.
