Boundaries Management in Conflict Avoidance Among Prisoners at Wirogunan Jail Yogyakarta

Lembaga Pemasyarakatan Wirogunan Yogyakarta is one of rehabilitation centers in Yogyakarta which concern to treat and empower the prisoners who had committed the criminal acts in order to belong consciousness for better conduct after prevailing accomplish a sentence in jail. The most interesting things in understanding life of prisoners in the jail are the form of relationships among them. As we know that the prisoners who accomplish punishment in the jail had committed several kind of crimes for instances robbery, murder, rape and corruption. These differences raise crucial tension among them which it can trigger them conflicting each other either manifest or latent. The purpose this research is to focus on boundaries management among them in order to avoid conflict. This is very important because they must maintain their own spirit and motivation to accomplish the punishment. Survival of life in the jail must be attained. Phenomenology approach was taken to expose and unveil the puzzle which take place among them in creating and making the best and appropriate relationships. Therefore boundaries management also was used to analyze and criticize the phenomena which prevail in the jail.
