The research on female individual development has received extensive attention, but there are still some deficiencies in the research on film. This paper analyzes the role of female individual development in film. The analysis shows that feminism is still hard to survive in society and individual development is bound by various conditions. Therefore, combining women’s individual development with film can help women’s thinking rights and interests through the way of film and let more women lead more thinking through the dissemination of film media and explore more possibilities for their own development. Based on this, this paper puts forward the following suggestions: the film should deepen the awareness of gender equality and break the traditional concept of gender, integrate the feminist perspective into the development, and provide opportunities for the development of more women. Through the way of film, the mass media let more people realize the topic of women’s development, change the original development mechanism, and realize real gender equality.
