The frequent influx of female-themed films into China has received widespread attention, but there is still a lack of understanding of the use of feminism in film. Based on a post-feminist perspective, this paper analyzes the female consciousness embodied in the film Her Story. This paper analyzes that Chinese women’s films, within the framework of the genre of romantic comedies, make use of the postmodern narrative to give the female characters and female audience the main position, and then express the multi-dimensional construction of female characters, break through the traditional gender restrictions, to complete the structure of gender discourse, and interact with the society through the films, to better complete the expression of the women’s position. Based on this, this paper proposes that women’s films should make better use of the construction of gender identity, to deconstruct the relationship between women and genders in the films, better tell women’s stories, provide a new imaginative space for gender relations beyond binary oppositions, and push forward the change of gender concepts in the field of popular culture.
