Abstract

With the continuous development of basic education curriculum reform in contemporary China, and with the further implementation of the universal education system, China has continuously strengthened its attention and support to special education. From the perspective of core literacy in education development, this paper takes Chongqing Special Education Centre, a high-quality special education school, as a case study, and reviews the improvement of teaching and learning in special education schools in the context of basic education teaching reform. As the only school for the blind in Chongqing, Chongqing Special Education Centre adheres to the original intention of “education changes the life of children with disabilities”, strives to build a high-quality special education school with national influence, and makes due contributions to the construction of a modern people’s city at a high level, and is one of the most representative special education schools in China. It is one of the most representative special education schools in China.
