Résumé

L’objectif de cette communication, qui se place dans le cadre de l’analyse du discours numérique, est de contribuer à illustrer la manière dont les dispositifs de communication numérique offrent aux malades un espace d’expression et d’analyser en quoi ces dispositifs permettent aux malades de rendre compte de la maladie dans ce qu’elle a d’intime. A partir de l’exemple d’un cas particulier, celui d’A., jeune femme souffrant d’anorexie mentale, nous montrerons, à travers la présentation qu’elle fait d’elle-même au fil de ses publications sur Instagram, comment elle exploite les ressources offertes par cette application afin de se définir à travers la psychopathologie dont elle souffre par le recours au texte et aux images.

Resumen

The discourse of the disease in the digital age - Staging of the self, staging of the disease, using the example of anorexia: The case A. Aim of this paper, which is part of the analysis of digital discourse, is to help illustrate how digital communication devices offer patients a space for expression and to analyse how these devices allow patients to account for the disease in its intimate aspects. Starting with the example of a particular case, that of A., a young woman suffering from anorexia nervosa, we will show, through the presentation she makes of herself through her publications on Instagram, how she exploits the resources offered by this application in order to define herself through the psychopathology she suffers from through the use of text and images.
