Quiz as one of the forms of learning activities for students of various non-philological specialties

This article is devoted to the consideration of a quiz as an activation of an effective means of student activity in classes of various non-philological specialties. Intellectual games in various forms remain relevant for teaching students; they help increase learning motivation and develop communication skills. It is noted that the quiz is one of the most effective types of work in classes in the disciplines “Russian language and culture of speech”, “Business Russian language” for enhancing the educational and cognitive activity of students. Motivating students to learn is an important element in the classroom. The article emphasizes that the use of quizzes in classes for students of non-philological fields ensures repetition of the studied lexical and grammatical material, deepening knowledge on the topic, development of communicative competence, enhances motivation to study speech formulas of etiquette, cultivates such personality qualities as determination, sociability, resourcefulness and persistence.
