With the rapid development of artificial intelligence technology, the application of AIGC (Artificial Intelligence Generated Content) in the field of visual communication design is becoming increasingly widespread. This article aims to explore the specific application of AIGC in visual communication design and its value evaluation in the context of sustainable development. Firstly, the article analyzes the application of AIGC in fields such as graphic design, UI/UX design, brand design, and packaging design. It points out that AIGC not only improves design efficiency through automated generation of design solutions, but also promotes innovation and personalized customization to a certain extent. Secondly, from the perspective of sustainable development, this article explores how AIGC promotes sustainable design practices by reducing resource waste, lowering carbon emissions, and promoting environmentally friendly design. At the same time, the article also evaluates the role of AIGC in improving design quality, reducing design costs, addressing environmental and social responsibilities, and discusses its ethical challenges in copyright, originality, and other areas. Through a comprehensive analysis of AIGC technology in visual communication design, this article provides important theoretical basis and practical reference for the future development of the design field.
