As the film “Nezha 2” has achieved widespread success in the domestic and foreign markets, how to get rid of the shackles of self-Orientalization and how to stand in the local culture has become a new challenge. This article uses literature analysis and comparative analysis methods to compare the differences in the creative and promotional processes of films. Research has found that Eastern films can establish the interpretive power of local culture, respecting the interpretive power of different cultures from an empathetic perspective both domestically and internationally. While promoting one’s own culture, it can also evoke resonance and form a tolerance for the culture behind movies through cultural awareness. When catering to the needs of the audience, it is not only about showcasing one’s cultural superiority, but also about guiding the audience to spontaneously promote their physical and mental growth. Therefore, this article believes that cross-cultural communication can utilize the characteristics of various countries’ cultures, explore cognitive commonalities at home and abroad, stimulate audience’s internal recognition, and thus break free from the limitations of Orientalization and self Orientalization, enabling films and their underlying culture to be widely disseminated at home and abroad.
