Abstract
Self-transcendence is strongly related to the meaning of life for adolescents. Poor mental health usually causes a series of issues about a lack of meaning in life. This study explores the role of self-transcendence in helping adolescents find meaning in life. Self-transcendence is a process of transcending one’s interests to connect with a larger social or universal purpose, which can alleviate emotional distress and promote well-being. The article emphasizes the importance of the present, goal-setting, and community engagement in adolescents. This article argues that cultivating transcendence through social activities and reflective practices helps adolescents regulate their emotions and enhances their ability to cope with existential challenges. This framework provides an integrated approach to promote their ongoing mental health.
