The effect of interpersonal conflict on counterproductive work behavior: Mediation role of emotion regulation

Counterproductive work behavior is still common among employees. Interpersonal conflict in the organization is one factor that influences counterproductive work behavior. Employees who often experience interpersonal conflict will perform counterproductive work behavior. Emotional regulation can mediate the influence of interpersonal conflict on counterproductive work behavior. The study aimed to determine the effect of interpersonal conflict on counterproductive work behavior mediated by emotion regulation. The research subjects were 100 people. Data were collected using counterproductive work behavior checklist, interpersonal conflict scale, and emotion work scale instruments. Data analysis method using mediated regression analysis. The results of the analysis show that emotion regulation can positively mediate the influence of interpersonal conflict on counterproductive work behavior.
