The Role of Psychological Suggestion in the Education of Middle and High School Students

Abstract

During middle and high school, students enter a period where the loads in school are increasing, and the body and mind are developing at a rapid rate. Another way out of psychological suggestion--it conceals the lesson. In this paper, the author demonstrates the effects of such hidden cues in secondary school. The main steps include a peaceful location, a short signal, and repeated exposure. It subsequently yields payoffs across four domains: study scores, stress reduction, habit improvement, and peer fit. The article incorporates specific teacher-parent interventions in every field. A teacher who whispers praise after a test because of hard work, a parent who leaves on the desk a note that reads, “You already know the next step,” and a poster on the wall that illustrates a student sitting alone reading by himself--those things add little bits of nudges. Research documents that in cases where the cues remain benevolent and consistent and are equalized in home and school, students begin to work internally driven, experience less stress, engage in fewer misdemeanors, and participate in group work with fewer irritations.
