Abstract
With the deepening of the internationalization of China’s education, the mental health problems of high school international students who are going abroad have received some attention. Through a systematic review, this paper analyzes the psychological problems and influencing factors of high school international department students going abroad. The analysis shows that the general anxiety under the dual pressure of study and future, the identity confusion between Chinese and Western cultures, the unique emotional fluctuations in adolescence, and the diversified pressure from the four levels of individual, family, school and society; Among them, the key factors that aggravate the psychological burden of students are the excessive attention of families to achievements and the neglect of emotional support, the imperfect school psychological counseling mechanism, and the stereotype of society on studying abroad. Based on this, this paper puts forward the following suggestions: students should actively improve their self-regulation ability and establish multiple self-cognitions; Parents should establish a rational view of studying abroad and provide stable emotional support; Schools should combine the characteristics of international courses, build a differentiated mental health education system to effectively improve the psychological preparation level of this group.
