Optimization of the training program for English majors in teacher education under the digital background

Abstract
In the digital age, the issue of the integration of education and digital technology has received widespread attention. This article analyzes the optimization of the training program for English normal students in the context of digitization. The article concludes that there are results in aspects such as the transformation of talent cultivation goals driven by technology, the reconstruction of a cross-disciplinary integrated curriculum system, and the construction of a practice ecosystem of industry-education collaboration. Based on this, this article puts forward the following suggestions: set cultivating the digital literacy of teacher candidates and enhancing their lifelong learning skills as the main goals, and establish connections between digitization and the previous core and main courses of English teacher education.
