There are obvious differences between the left-wing literature of the 1930s and the revolutionary literary works after the founding of New China in the 1950s. Among the many works, the “Eclipse” trilogy and “Song of Youth” are the few works that develop plots with women as the center. By reading these two works, we can have a more comprehensive understanding of the revolutionary trends in the 1930s and 1950s, and it is also conducive to studying the status of women and the development of female literature in the two periods.
