A Validation Study of Arithmetic Operation Tasks Integrated Malay Ethnomathematics Using the Rasch Model

This study aims to develop and test the feasibility of integrated arithmetic operation tasks integrated Malay ethnomathematics. The method used is quantitative method. The instruments developed amounted to 25 tasks and they were tested to 23 students from a public elementary school in Pelalawan, Riau, Indonesia. Data were analyzed using Rasch model. The results of this study indicate that 21 items are feasible to be used with high person reliability, but the item reliability is still low. Therefore, improvements are needed in several tasks so that they can measure more diverse student abilities.
