Résumé

Tout en explorant les débuts de l'intelligence artificielle dans le domaine de l'enseignement et de l'apprentissage des langues étrangères, cet article vise comme objectif d’envisager l'utilisation des fonctionnalités de l’intelligence artificielle dans l'enseignement et l'apprentissage du français pour les locuteurs non natifs. Nous avons choisi les applications du site web Duolingo comme modèle pour démontrer l'intégration d'éléments d'intelligence artificielle dans la construction, la gestion et l'exploitation de situations d'enseignement-apprentissage. Les résultats de l'analyse de l'environnement Duolingo pour l'apprentissage du français ont montré que l'intelligence artificielle a déjà commencé à trouver ses applications dans le domaine de l’éducation, mais que des efforts supplémentaires sont nécessaires pour parvenir à des systèmes éducatifs d'apprentissage des langues totalement intelligents.

Abstract

While exploring the beginnings of artificial intelligence in the field of foreign language teaching and learning, this article aims to consider the use of artificial intelligence functionalities in the teaching and learning of French for non-native speakers. We have chosen the applications of the Duolingo website as a model to demonstrate the integration of artificial intelligence elements in the construction, management and exploitation of teaching-learning situations. The results of the analysis of the Duolingo environment for learning French showed that artificial intelligence has already begun to find applications in the field of education, but that further efforts are needed to achieve fully intelligent language learning systems.
