Abstract
Chinese classical poetry, as the core carrier of cultural dissemination, has received widespread attention for its international teaching value. This article takes Su Shi’s poetry as a typical case and systematically analyzes the practical difficulties and optimization paths of classical poetry teaching in international Chinese education. This article analyzes that current international Chinese ancient poetry textbooks overly focus on Tang poetry and modern style poetry, while works from other dynasties and ancient style poetry are severely marginalized; Adhering to traditional teaching methods, Teachers have weak cross-cultural competence. Based on this, this article proposes the following suggestions: constructing a “historical periodization+thematic module” textbook system, optimizing the selection ratio of dynasties and genres; Constructing a new teaching model of “interaction between technology and humanities”; Emphasis should be placed on enhancing teachers’ ability to interpret the philosophical connotations of classical poetry and their cross-cultural comparative teaching literacy.
