Phraseological approach to characterize Medieval romances as a genre. Our study deals with the extended phraseology to characterize Medieval romances (XIIIth century) as a genre. We show that 4 constructions with the Old French verb doner are used as phraseological units structuring the text (or motif) by their discursive function.
