SWOT Analysis of the Construction of “Foreign Language +” Interdisciplinary Teaching System Under the Background of New Liberal Arts

The reform and development of higher education should actively respond to the top-level design of the country, and the cultivation of foreign language talents needs to be reformed and innovated according to the background of the times. Under the background of new liberal arts, the construction of teaching system should adhere to the national social demand orientation, adhere to the interdisciplinary integration, and carry out collaborative innovation on this basis. Based on the national conditions and school conditions, according to the school orientation and personnel training objectives, taking the supply-side reform of personnel training as an important starting point, this paper makes SWOT analysis on promoting the construction of “foreign language + science and technology” interdisciplinary teaching system under the background of new liberal arts, and puts forward the construction of “foreign language +” interdisciplinary curriculum system, interdisciplinary teaching mode, interdisciplinary management mode and interdisciplinary curriculum ideological and political mode. The aim is to embody the standard of foreign language discipline based on language and culture, promote the cross-integration of engineering and foreign language discipline, and cultivate interdisciplinary high-end talents. It provides a demonstration for the construction of new liberal arts in national science and engineering universities, and provides practical reference and sample reference for the development of foreign language majors.
