Former à l’enseignement de l’orthographe : quelles médiations ?

Résumé

Cet article présente les effets d’un dispositif de formation à l’enseignement de l’orthographe sur la pratique d’enseignants se destinant à devenir formateurs. Dans le cadre d’un master, ils sont invités dans leur mémoire à analyser leur propre pratique et l’année suivante à concevoir l’accompagnement d’un débutant. Nous montrons à travers l’analyse de deux corpus longitudinaux comment la pratique régulière de la transcription permet une prise de distance au service de la construction d’une posture métalinguistique explicite et d’un traitement de l’accord plus conscient des conceptions des élèves et des savoirs en jeu pour leur permettre d’évoluer.

Resumen

Training in the teaching of spelling: what mediations? This article presents the effects of a system of training in the teaching of spelling on the practice of teachers destined to become trainers. As part of a master’s degree, students are invited in their dissertation to analyse their own practice and, the following year, to design the accompaniment of a beginner. We show through the analysis of two longitudinal corpora, how the regular practice of transcription allows a distance to be taken in the service of the construction of an explicit metalinguistic posture. Thus, future trainers teach agreement by being more aware of the students’ conceptions and the knowledge at stake in order to allow them to evolve.
